Trauma
Let’s be real- we are all traumatized in some way or another. Whether it’s from adverse childhood experiences, the legacy of intergenerational trauma, traumatic experiences in adulthood, or from existing in a culture that causes continual harm. These experiences don’t just affect our minds- they affect our bodies and our spirits.
Trauma lives in our tissues and our nervous systems. When you are living with trauma, your nervous system remains continuously activated and your body cannot do the work it is meant to do. Your nervous system wears out from the sustained effort, which leads to exhaustion and breakdown. It affects your immune system, digestion, endocrine and reproductive system. Trauma is making us sick.
We want to be a part of your healing journey. Not the whole of your journey, but a supportive part of your care circle.
Burnout
Burnout is a complex issue that can affect anyone at any stage in life. It doesn’t always stem from working too much. It is an emotional signal that your current approach to life is unsustainable. It can include feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm and energy depletion that remain untouched by rest. Burnout recovery requires a radical restructuring, and we are here to help you build it.
We get well not so we can return to being productive under capitalism. We get well so that we can become the versions of ourselves we have always needed and truly be of service to our life’s mission.
